At the Gwinnett arena in metro Atlanta last night, there was quite a scandal brewing in regard to the hottest show in town. Yup, that’s right, Fake Hannah Montana Tickets.
Hannah Montana, the 15-year-old Disney star, performed before a sold out Gwinnett Arena. Tickets for the show sold literally for thousands on the Internet. And as some parents found out, fake tickets were sold as well.
“We paid entirely too much for tickets, but you know,” said Allison Broms. “That’s life.”
Her son Will admitted they paid $325 per ticket for six tickets. There was no guarantee that tickets purchased on the Internet were good.
“We said a little prayer while we were at dinner that they were real and legit,” Allison said.
But it was a disappointing birthday for Katie Lowe. They spent more than $400 for two tickets on Craig’s List.
“We got in there and someone was sitting in the seats,” said Robin Lowe. “They took us up to the box office and said they were counterfeit tickets.”
The box office told them they were one of four people with counterfeit tickets. “We cried in there, and we were upset, but there’s nothing else to do. What else can you do?” Robin said. Robin remembered how the whole scene unfolded.
“They escorted us to the box office,” she said. “And that’s another thing. They escorted us to buy a t-shirt and escorted us out the door like we were criminals. And we’re not. We just came to see Hannah Montana.”
This is amazing. Some people will try to take money from just about anyone. I wonder if there will be any official response from Miley on this one?
Its wrong that there are people out there doing such things as selling fake tickets to good people and getting them in trouble. Hannah hasn’t reacted to the first problem, with people buying her tickets and selling them at outragious prices, but will she stand down to people paying a lot, for nothing? Is Hannah really the good girl everyone thought she was, or is she turning into another one of those ignorant divas?
Miley Cyrus, herself, cannot do anything about the outrageous ticket scalpers. It’s the laws in the individual states that make it possible for these greedy people to sell the tickets at such high prices. This was also happening w/ Garth Brooks and many other artists. The only thing the artist, themselves, could do is refuse to perform and that would just not happen. It would screw the people who bought tickets the right way and for the right reasons. It’s horrible that these things happen, but I stand by the artists. It’s not their fault and there’s really nothing they can do about it.

In my school they call those people ripofffartes.I agree.I it wrong for people to do that.There is the hole wprld who wants the tickets and the children want to see her but they can not because the tickets are fake.I got tickets for X-Mas.I hope they are not fake.

THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO MAKE DOUBLE SURE THAT THE SITE YOU ARE GOING TO IS SECURE AND CANNOT BE BLOCKED. TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS TO MAKE SURE. I HAVE BOUGHT MANY THINGS ONLINE AND EVERY TIME I AM TAKING A CHANCE. I DO MY BEST TO RESEARCH THE SITE. IF THERE IS NOT A 100% GUARANTEE AND A CONFIRMATION #, DON’T DO IT! I HAVE FRIENDS THAT HAVE BEEN BURNED!!
