Is she rivaling the Beatles? Maybe so. The recent Montana mania is hitting extreme proportions. We have heard stories of moms and dads doing extreme things to get tickets for their family: enlisting employees to use multiple computers to try and get tickets from ticketmaster, using broker services like stubhub to only find out that the tickets they paid thousands for are mere replicas from a previous show. It’s crazy and it’s apparently only getting worse! At the Allstate arena, Gov. Blagojevich walked up with his wife and two young daughters and two friends. “We’re big fans,” the governor said. “I’ve seen every ‘Hannah Montana’ episode.”

CHICAGO (AP) — Miley Cyrus admits she’s not a typical 14-year-old.
Last night’s show in Oakland brought one resounding theme out for parents: “wear your earplugs”. This show was great a lived up to the hype and mania behind Hannah Montana. “She’s a young girl who all the other young girls want to be like,” said Hayward resident Melissa Martinez, who brought her 8-year-old daughter, Ericka, to the show. “Every day, my little girl comes home and she’s got to watch ‘Hannah Montana.’ ”

note: this picture isn’t from Oakland but rather the Hollywood show
According to the Mercury News, “Watching the kids react to the show, it was easy to draw comparisons to other pop-music phenomenoms from the past - like ‘N Sync, Britney and, even, the Beatles. For some in attendance, however, there’s simply no comparison. One of those folks was Castro Valley’s Sarah Luzuriaga, who brought her 9-year-old nieces, Kaylei Mae Long and Cori Ann Long, to the concert.”
“This,” she said, “is bigger than the Beatles for the girls.”
