Miley has returned to the stage in Orlando, FL this week. While she didn’t comment on the photos in Vanity Fair directly, Cyrus did spot a sign in the crowd that read “Miley I’m praying for you”, to which responded: “I can’t be more appreciative of that.”
Our beloved star Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana finds herself among some other senior public figures in the Time:100 list this year. She chimes in at No. 59 this year on the 2008 Time’s 100 Most Influential People List. She is in good company as she find herself with the like of Mariah Carey, Bruce Springsteen and Herbie Hancock to name a few. Miley has done so much in just such a short amount of time! With millions of dollars tied to her thus far squeaky clean image, the family is backtracking and Cyrus has already publicly apologized for the spread, which has not even hit newsstands yet.
“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic,’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” Miley, the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, told the press this week. “I never intended for any of this to happen, and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”

NEW YORK (AP) — Is that Miley Cyrus flashing some skin?
Less-than-wholesome photos of a girl bearing a close resemblance to the 15-year-old superstar are making the rounds on the Internet.
One photo shows the Cyrus look-alike tugging at her white tank top to reveal a green bra. In another shot, she flaunts her bare midriff while draped over a young male, who rests his hand on her hip. Another shot shows her cuddling up to the same guy.
This isn’t the first time risque photos of someone resembling Cyrus have circulated online. In recent months, shots have surfaced of a girl posing in her underwear and bikini.
Cyrus, star of the TV show “Hannah Montana” and role model for countless young girls, is one of the biggest — and most G-rated — acts in the country. Cyrus’ “Best of Both Worlds” tour sold out arenas, and her successful 3-D concert film collected $31.3 million in its opening weekend in February.
The upcoming “Hannah Montana” movie will be filmed in Tennessee and Los Angeles, beginning early next month. The movie is scheduled for release May 1, 2009.
The actress-singer’s publicists Jill Fritzo and Meghan Prophet didn’t return messages from The Associated Press seeking comment. An assistant to Cyrus’ manager, Jason Morey, referred the AP to Prophet.
It looks like an estimated 6,000 girls lined up Sunday morning at the Sommet Center. It was a fight for position in the early hours of the morning. A shot at being in the next Hannah Montana movie was on the line.
“We walked down here at 2:00 this morning, we were back at 3:00. We weren’t going to let anybody get in front,” said Laura Vargas while waiting in line.

Molly Chesterton reports over at eNews20 that Miley is legally put in the request to change her name.
Destiny Hope Cyrus, the 15-year-old actress and singer who plays the role of Hannah Montana, has filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court to change her name into Miley Ray Cyrus. TMZ reports that the daughter of Leticia and Billy Ray Cyrus wanted to do that in order for her legal name to be the same as her “commonly used name.”
Furthermore, Miley Cyrus’ parents will have to publish a public notice of their daughter’s name change in order to make it official. According to TMZ, the singer first talked about her wish to legally change her name in January this year.
