Now this is some interesting news
Looks like Miley is influencing legislature…
The Minnesota Senate gave preliminary approval on April 8 to a bill named for the teen singing sensation Hannah Montana.
The bill would ban software that allows ticket brokers to go on-line and buy blocks of concert tickets, so they can resell them at higher prices.
Because of that practice, many young Hannah Montana fans didn’t get tickets when the star came to Minneapolis last year.
The House hasn’t yet voted on its version of the bill.

Here’s a snippet from Jonathan Moran’s story on IT girl Hannah Montana!
Introduced to the fast-paced Hollywood life by her dad, country crooner Billy Ray Cyrus (Achy Breaky Heart), she’s now the most famous child star in America and well on her way to conquering the global tween market.
(Her website receives 250 million hits a month.)
The husky-voiced brunette, who is well-spoken and overly polite - and earned $US3.5 million last year - sounds more like a woman of 30 than a teenager.
Observers are even criticising the star of Disney’s Hannah Montana for growing up too quickly, but Cyrus is quick to jump to her own defence.
“I’m growing up at the pace that I would any other way,” she tells Insider in her only Australian interview.

The Texas mother who helped her daughter win a “Hannah Montana” essay contest by making up a story about the girl’s father being a soldier killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq says she made a terrible mistake and hopes she can be forgiven.
“I meant no disrespect. I just made a bad decision which I sincerely regret,” Priscilla Ceballos told TODAY co-host Matt Lauer in a prepared statement she read from Friday. “I apologize to my daughter for getting her mixed up in his mess. I wanted to help my daughter realize her dream of seeing Hannah Montana. Instead, I brought so much negative attention to my family. Please accept my heartfelt apology, and please, do not punish my child for my mistake.”

Miley is enjoying the chance to meet her fans face to face and take a break from filming the TV show. “It’s a lot easier than being on the show even though we do have live audiences.” she said.

Is she rivaling the Beatles? Maybe so. The recent Montana mania is hitting extreme proportions. We have heard stories of moms and dads doing extreme things to get tickets for their family: enlisting employees to use multiple computers to try and get tickets from ticketmaster, using broker services like stubhub to only find out that the tickets they paid thousands for are mere replicas from a previous show. It’s crazy and it’s apparently only getting worse! At the Allstate arena, Gov. Blagojevich walked up with his wife and two young daughters and two friends. “We’re big fans,” the governor said. “I’ve seen every ‘Hannah Montana’ episode.”
