Yep, that’s right! The lovely and talented Taylor Swift has filmed a cameo role in Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Due out in 2009, the 18-year-old Taylor Swift joins plays herself and sings one of her own songs in the Hannah Montana movie.

She joins the likes of other cameos made by the group Rascal Flatts and Bucky Covington from Idol. Disney’s Lyric Street Records represent each of the cameo acts as well Go Taylor!

According to a report from this week’s Star Magazine, Tish grounded the 15-year-old Hannah Montana sensation in May - and has even forbidden her to use her computer! “Miley is getting too big for her britches and had to be taken down a notch,” says a friend of the family spilled to the weekly entertainment magazine. “And Tish is the only person capable of doing it!
Miley was involved in a huge scandal earlier when underwear pictures were posted online of the Disney starlet. The racy photos scandal left the teen sensation’s image bruised and battered….

RIDGETOP, Tenn. - The cameras are rolling in Robertson County.

Filming for the new “Hannah Montana” movie continued Monday north of Nashville.

Reporter Phil Jones had a great view over the lights, cameras and action in NewsChannel 5’s news helicopter Sky 5.

Scenes were shot at Smiley Hollow, a special events facility in Ridgetop, which is about 20 miles north of downtown Nashville.

Smiley Hollow was transformed into a giant carnival for some scenes and a musical number featuring teen pop singer and actress Miley Cyrus.

Filming is expected to take two weeks. About 500 movie extras were on hand to help shoot the movie Monday and 2,500 movie extras are expected at Tuesday.

Kelly Preston, John Travolta’s wife, reveals that her husband has a voice character in Miley’s upcoming animated film Bolt. She also hasn’t ruled out that they might actually end up making music together. “Johnny may sing with Miley”, said Preston on Friday. About “Bolt” - Bolt is an upcoming animated movie about a white German Shepherd, voiced by Travolta. The Shepherd believes he has super powers. Miley will be the voice of her owner Penny. The film is set to open everywhere on November 26.

It looks like an estimated 6,000 girls lined up Sunday morning at the Sommet Center. It was a fight for position in the early hours of the morning. A shot at being in the next Hannah Montana movie was on the line.

“We walked down here at 2:00 this morning, we were back at 3:00. We weren’t going to let anybody get in front,” said Laura Vargas while waiting in line.

Walt Disney Studios is looking for extras to appear in what it calls “a major motion picture based on a hit television series starring a well known pop teen sensation.”

Hmm. … Could that be Disney’s upcoming “Hannah Montana” movie that’s set to be filmed in Middle Tennessee and Los Angeles?

A receptionist for Dave Wong, the studio’s vice president of publicity, said Friday that they’re not ready to confirm that. But strangely enough, the on-hold music at Wong’s office was “Ready, Set, Don’t Go,” a country duet by “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus’ and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

The open casting call for extras is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, at the Sommet Center in Nashville.

The studio says it’s looking for background actors of all ages for non-speaking parts. No experience is necessary.

Everyone must bring a recent nonreturnable snapshot and a pen.

Filming begins in and around Nashville on May 6.

Well, it looks like Tennessee will be the location of the set for the new Hannah Montana Movie! Very cool!

NASHVILLE — The upcoming Hannah Montana movie will be filmed in Middle Tennessee and Los Angeles, a spokeswoman for The Walt Disney Co. said Thursday evening.

Filming will begin in early May with the movie scheduled for release May 1, 2009, according to spokeswoman Heidi Trotta.

Trotta did not provide details about the shoot.

State officials have been negotiating with Disney for at least six months to get the movie made in Tennessee.

“At one time, they were definitely going to Louisiana. Then it was between Louisiana and Tennessee, and then I was left with the impression that it definitely would be Tennessee,” said Perry Gibson, executive director of the Tennessee Film and Entertainment Commission.
