Jason Daniel Earles (born in San Diego, California) is an American actor. His birthday is April 26. His birth year has been the subject of conflicting reports. Earles was 29 years old in January 2007, per USA Today. Earles’ resume gives a birth date of April 26, 1985. A story in the Houston Chronicle in July 2007 stated that he was 19 years old.
Before moving to southern California, Earles lived in Billings, Montana, where he graduated from Rocky Mountain College in 2000. He has contributed cast memorabilia to the college’s fund raisers.
Earles plays Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana’s (Miley Cyrus) older brother, Jackson Stewart, in the Disney Channel Original Series Hannah Montana. He is her dorky, annoying brother. He guest starred twice on Phil of the Future, as Grady Spaggett, an advanced math student. Earles was in the first ever Disney Channel Games on the victorious Blue Team along with Cole Sprouse, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Vanessa Anne Hudgens, and Brenda Song. He is now currently on the very successful Disney Channel Games 2007 and is on the Red team along with Brenda Song (Team Captain), Ashley Tisdale, Adrienne Bailon, Co-Star’s Mitchel Musso and Moises Arias, and International Disney Channel Stars Sydney White from DC UK, François Civil from DC France, and Sergio Martin from DC Spain.
Earles played a nerdy card gamer that was friends with the character Brian Miller, on the sitcom Still Standing. In 2004, he appeared in the movie National Treasure as Thomas Gates, ancestor of Ben Gate (Nicholas Cage). In 2005 Earles played Ernie Kaplowitz in the movie American Pie Presents: Band Camp.
