The star Billy Ray Cyrus was born on August 25th, 1961. He was raised in a small Kentucky town called Flatwoods. His grandfather was a preacher and his father Ron was a signer in the gospel group. His grandfather was also a hoedown fiddler and his mother played bluegrass with Billy on Saturday nights.
At the age of 20 Billy acted on this intuition and bought a guitar when he was 20 and the first step was taken to fame. Billy Ray always believed in his dream, for weeks and months he felt the sting of rejection in Nashville just like thousands before him had.
But fortunately on May 19th, 1992 his dream finally became a reality. This is the time of his release “Some Gave All” which was one of the most explosively debut albums in music history. Billy finally capped off the year by getting married to Leticia Finley who goes by the name of Trish.
Even though at this point Billy could have taken a break and enjoyed the spotlight he did not rest and he released “It Won’t Be The Last” in 1993, “Storm In The Heartland” in 1994, and “Trail Of Tears” in 1996. After which he decided to add more Rock and Blues to his songs. He also trusted his fans would rather his music came from the heart instead of every song sounding the same. He was correct in this instinct and records were still well liked by his fans but they didn’t make the same impression on the Pop music scene.
During this same time Billy and Trish added on to there family with his son Christopher and Trish’s two children Trace and Brandi, then came there daughter Destiny, there son Braison, and another daughter Noah. At this point Billy decided to take his wife and children with him when he went on concert tours and although at times he had to share the spotlight with Destiny (Now called Miley) he was happy to have her around.
Then in 1999 Billy wanted to try his hand at acting and managed to get a part in the movie “Here and There” but as a devout Christian he got upset by the lack of morels the show presented. Then the producers of the series “Doc” wanted him to take on the role and when he and Trish read the script for the show he realized that the show was family orinented and allowed him to keep his Christian values.
After the show “Doc” was over Billy decided to take a break but unfortunately for him fate brought him another big acting gig, at which point he had plenty of experience for the role and even though his son Christopher was born Billy continued to train for the part. By the time he and trish had Miley, Braison, and Noah all he had to do was wait for the role to come. At this point Miley had landed herself a role in a new TV series called “Hannah Montana” and they were also looking for someone to play the father on the show and even though Billy originally refused to audition for the part Trish and Miley insisted that he was the right person for it. When Billy finally did audition the producers loved it and offered him the part. “Hannah Montana” premiered on one of the largest audiences Disney Channel has ever had for an original series and it immediately became a hit.
