Looks like Miley’s Breakout CD is an absolute HIT – what do you think?

The tween queen’s new, non-Hannah album, Breakout, broke onto the charts at No. 1, selling 371,000 copies for the week ended Sunday, according to Nielsen SoundScan data released today.

Her two previous studio releases, both Miley-Hannah combo jobs, also topped the Billboard 200. But Breakout is an official solo release (she cowrote eight of the 13 cuts). It also represents her best sales week, topping last summer’s Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus by 45,000, and the second-best week for a female artist this year.

Miley Cyrus says there’s no way she’s going to be locking lips with Katy Perry at this Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards.

The 23-year-old “I Kissed a Girl” hitmaker recently said in an interview that she was hoping to snag a same-sex smooch onstage with the 15-year-old Cyrus in the spirit of the infamous Madonna-Britney Spears kiss.

“No thanks,” the Hannah Montana star told me yesterday with a laugh. “She sang on my record. So I think she’s kind of getting back at me, because she was doing harmonies and backgrounds.”

Meow!

Cyrus has been on a nonstop promotional campaign to support her new hit album, Breakout, and her upcoming gig as the host of Teen Choice.

Yep, that’s right! The lovely and talented Taylor Swift has filmed a cameo role in Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Due out in 2009, the 18-year-old Taylor Swift joins plays herself and sings one of her own songs in the Hannah Montana movie.

She joins the likes of other cameos made by the group Rascal Flatts and Bucky Covington from Idol. Disney’s Lyric Street Records represent each of the cameo acts as well Go Taylor!

According to a report from this week’s Star Magazine, Tish grounded the 15-year-old Hannah Montana sensation in May – and has even forbidden her to use her computer! “Miley is getting too big for her britches and had to be taken down a notch,” says a friend of the family spilled to the weekly entertainment magazine. “And Tish is the only person capable of doing it!
Miley was involved in a huge scandal earlier when underwear pictures were posted online of the Disney starlet. The racy photos scandal left the teen sensation’s image bruised and battered….

We found some news with pics from the Hannah Montana Movie that’s filming outside of Nashville, TN. check it out!

RIDGETOP, Tenn. – The cameras are rolling in Robertson County.

Filming for the new “Hannah Montana” movie continued Monday north of Nashville.

Reporter Phil Jones had a great view over the lights, cameras and action in NewsChannel 5′s news helicopter Sky 5.

Scenes were shot at Smiley Hollow, a special events facility in Ridgetop, which is about 20 miles north of downtown Nashville.

Smiley Hollow was transformed into a giant carnival for some scenes and a musical number featuring teen pop singer and actress Miley Cyrus.

Filming is expected to take two weeks. About 500 movie extras were on hand to help shoot the movie Monday and 2,500 movie extras are expected at Tuesday.

Hannah Montana’s Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, who plays Ashley Dewitt on the popular children’s show, said, “Sometimes I’ll talk to her on the phone and she’ll be like, ‘It’s really hard’ or ‘I’m really tired. I can’t do this,’ according to Showbizspy.

“It really hurt her inside,” says Perez de Tagle. “She didn’t know that people would look at it like that.”

What will happen? Who’s to say other than Miley herself.. we can definitely see how this would take a toll on Miley. You’re in our prayers Miley…

So after all the hoopla with the pictures, playboy offer and all the other fun stuff going on with Miley, it appears that the ratings have started to sag some. Here is the report that was on Finditt this morning…

According to reports, ratings of the hit Disney show ‘Hannah Montana’ have dropped following a scandal surrounding the show’s star Miley Cyrus. Cyrus posed for Vanity Fair magazine and is under fire for the provocative photos in which she appears to be topless.

According to the Nielsen Company, the show has been hit with a 14% decline in viewers since the photo scandal, bumping it down from it’s number one spot.

Cyrus, 15, stars as Hannah Montana. Montana is a high school student who leads a secret double life as a pop star.

I don’t know – to me, the core of Miley’s audience is still in tact and won’t go anywhere – what do you think?

Kelly Preston, John Travolta’s wife, reveals that her husband has a voice character in Miley’s upcoming animated film Bolt. She also hasn’t ruled out that they might actually end up making music together. “Johnny may sing with Miley”, said Preston on Friday. About “Bolt” – Bolt is an upcoming animated movie about a white German Shepherd, voiced by Travolta. The Shepherd believes he has super powers. Miley will be the voice of her owner Penny. The film is set to open everywhere on November 26.

Wow. I didn’t think we’d see this but apparently Hugh Heffner has made an offer to Miley to pose in Playboy when she’s legal. Here’s the report from the national ledger about the deal and there is another one here. Apparently Extra was told by Heffner that “She’d be welcomed in the magazine. Very pretty lady”

Heffner went on, “I think to make such a big to do over something as innocent as those photos, I think is a reflection on how schizophrenic America is about sexuality,” he said.

Miley has returned to the stage in Orlando, FL this week. While she didn’t comment on the photos in Vanity Fair directly, Cyrus did spot a sign in the crowd that read “Miley I’m praying for you”, to which responded: “I can’t be more appreciative of that.”
